Ethan Erhahon is at the centre of an international tug-of-war between Scotland and Nigeria. The former Lincoln City midfielder, who made 107 appearances for the Imps, is reportedly being considered for a senior call-up after his impressive start to life in the Championship with Bolton Wanderers.

The 25-year-old Glaswegian, of Nigerian descent, has started six of Bolton's opening eight league games this term. He has scored once and maintained a 90 per cent pass completion rate. Erhahon remained with his club during the recent international break, but interest from both national associations is understood to be growing.

Erhahon joined Lincoln from St Mirren for an undisclosed fee in January 2023. He became a fan favourite at Sincil Bank and was voted the Players' Player of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign. His performances earned him a move to Bolton in July 2025, where he signed a four-year deal.

Any senior international debut could have a knock-on effect for Lincoln City. While unconfirmed, the transfer agreement with Bolton may include clauses related to future international appearances, which could provide a financial boost to the Imps.

Lincoln's recent form has been mixed, with two wins, one draw and two defeats in their last five outings. For now, Imps supporters can watch with interest as a player they developed takes the next step in his career, with a potential international future ahead of him.
